Things to Know…
Your order will come with the SpiderWeb Shade and 19 SpiderBalls (1 small & 18 large) to secure it in place.

The SpiderBalls can be installed facing either upward or downward. For this installation all but five SpiderBalls should be facing downward.

The SpiderBalls are intended to hold the shade taut and in place. Do not be afraid to pull on them to make them fit. They are sturdy and unlikely to break, however take caution in case they do.

Installing Your SW2
Note that the SW2 is made up of two pieces. The front piece is a smaller rectangular piece with six grommets. The rear piece has twelve grommets and a SpiderWebShade patch towards its back-left corner.
- Begin at the center footmans loop in your Jeep. Using the small SpiderBall, secure the front piece’s center grommet to the footmans loop (figure 1a). The small SpiderBall should be facing downwards (figure 1b).
- The next step is to secure the rear-center grommet of the front piece. To do this insert a SpiderBall into the rear grommet of the front piece facing downwards and proceed to wrap it around the roll bar (figure 2). Note: If your Jeep has a sound bar, this SpiderBall should run between the roll bar and the sound bar for the best fit.
Next, secure the rear corners of the front piece. Insert the SpiderBalls facing downwards and wrap them around the corners where the roll bars meet (figures 3a, 3b).
Once this is done, secure the front corners by inserting SpiderBalls facing downwards and wrapping them around the side roll bars. The SpiderBall chords should feed in front of the vehicle’s sun visors for the most secure fit (figure 4a). Then, secure the remaining grommets by wrapping SpiderBalls around the roll bars (figure 4b).
Now move to the front-center grommet of the rear piece. Insert a SpiderBall facing upwards and wrap it around the roll bar, as close as possible to the SpiderBall used to secure the rear- center grommet of the front piece (figure 5).
Then, secure the front corners of the rear piece. Insert SpiderBalls facing upwards and wrap them around the corners where the roll bars meet (figure 6).
Once the front of this piece is secure, move to the rear corners. Stretch the shade as far down as possible, insert the SpiderBalls facing upwards and wrap them around the roll bar beneath the seat belt brackets to secure the corners (figure 7). Note: In this installation, the seatbelt brackets have been removed.
Once the front and rear-corner grommets have been secured, proceed to secure the remaining side grommets by inserting SpiderBalls facing downwards and wrapping them around the roll bars (figure 8a). The top should look like the following picture once in place (figure 8b).

Alternative Installation Steps
Your shade will come with the necessary number of SpiderBalls, however it is possible to attach the top with fewer SpiderBalls if you would prefer it. The following steps can be used in place of steps 2, 3, 5, & 6.

- Next secure the rear-center grommet of the front piece and the front-center grommet of the rear piece. Insert a SpiderBall facing upwards into the front piece’s rear-center grommet and wrap it around the center roll bar. However, before securing the ball, feed the chord through the rear piece’s front grommet. Once attached, both grommets will be secured in place (figure 2).
- Proceed to secure the rear corners of the front piece as well as the front corners of the rear piece. To do this, insert SpiderBalls facing upwards into the rear corners of the front piece. Then, wrap the Balls under the corners where the roll bars meet and pull them up over the bars (figure 3a). Before securing the SpiderBalls, feed the chords through the front corner grommets on the rear piece and pull the chords down to finally secure the SpiderBalls (figure 3b).
