I bought the SW1 TrailMesh for my TJ. Not including shipping it was $80. Plus, I also got a discount by mentioning the “Twitter” discount when paying through PayPal.
Since today was such a beautiful day, why not wash the jeep and soft top, do a vacuum and wipe down, take the top down and put on the shade?
Seriously, I’ve been waiting for months to put this on!!!
Once complete, my son and I went for a drive. There were two main reasons why I was looking for and bought this shade:
#1 – Roasting in the sun at stoplights in the summer
#2 – My 5 year old son hates when I put the top down because he can’t hear anything (from the wind-wash in the rear seat)
Well I can’t speak for #1 today, as it wasn’t that hot, but I’m sure the shade will really help with the heat.
As for the wind-wash, it was an unbelievable change. My son could hear. He was no longer getting blown away, I didn’t have to turn my head around and scream to tell him something. He could hear the music from the sound bar just fine without me having to blast it. The shade really helps with cutting down the wind-wash in the back seat. Amazing difference and well worth the money!

I’m a huge fan of SpiderWeb. They are based here in Orlando, FL. I have run into them several times at shows and even personally made the trip to their factory when I got my SpiderWeb just to scope things out.
Having used their product and seen how they do things, I can say they are a great team of people who honestly care about delivering a quality product and ensuring every customer is completely satisfied.
No questions asked, hands down, I would buy another in a heart beat and recommend it to everyone for their summertime driving.
P.S. – funny truths
My wife refuses to wheel more than 2 hrs in the hot FL sun without it on
My 9yr old daughter refuses to ride in the woods without it on (she got spiders in her hair the last time I left it off)

NOW THAT…. was an easy install.
This is going to be very helpful with the Texas sun and the desire to have the topless experience. I know it is not true topless, but I do not want a sunburn my scalp!
I hope that it will get me through the summer without having to button up the Jeep and hit the A/C.
Update:
I have the SW1, just got it a week and a half ago. It was great last weekend, had the top down all weekend long and it kept me shady they entire time. When rain decided to come in, I put the top back up with the SW1 still on and it is working fine under the top.
From what I know…
TrailMesh is more durable but not stretchy, so you do not get that tiny bit of extra coverage that the UltraMesh gives as it stretches to fill in the gaps.
Some observations…
It is shiny.
You probably could make one yourself.
I am 6ft 6in tall and I fit fine under it.
The Spider-balls held onto it great in high winds at highway speeds. 70mph+ and 40mph crosswinds.
It is not as expensive as what I thought it might be and I feel well worth the price.
Very easy to install.

I had one on my 2 door JK and have 4 friends that have them. The absolute best top you can buy in my opinion. Very simple design, you can leave on with either soft or hard top, and you can fold up to small size for storage if you take off. I have used Bestop safari top in the past and hated trying to put on by myself and it didn’t fold well with the hard plastic header strip. This is the way to go! We actually met the owner at Jeep Beach. Hambone didn’t think his was tight enough, so the owner said drive it over. He offered to swap it if something was wrong on the spot. He looked at it and swapped the way one of the straps was hooked and it was much tighter. Another friend who was with us bought one that day.
